Sometimes crying is necessary. It’s only natural. And watching a sad movie is a great way to let those tears out.
I don’t usually cry during movies. Hell, most of the time I wonder why I don’t cry. However, there are a few exceptions. Below I have created a list of 5 movies that ended in me crying.
And do not worry, there are no spoilers ahead!
1. The Art of Racing in the rain

This movie is told from the perspective of Enzo, a loyal golden retriever doggo whose owner is a Formula One race car driver. We get to see Enzo’s whole life, from his puppy years to later life. There are many touching and meaningful moments in this film – definitely worth a watch!

2. Good will hunting

This is a great movie for many reasons, most notably the relationship between Will and his court-prescribed therapist.
3. Grave of fireflies

- Rating: NR
- Release: 1988
This is the type of movie you will watch once and never again. It follows a brother tasked with the care of his younger sister after their mother is killed in a bombing during WWII. It’s a Studio Ghibi film, and probably his most emotional one.
4. Lovely bones

- Release: 2009
