No matter what your situation is, a new year always brings a possibility for change. New Year’s Resolutions are a great way to prioritize your goals and provide direction at the start of the new year.
Here is a list of my goals that I am determined to commit to. In the past, I have made mental notes of my resolutions, but never before have I written them down and explained them in detail. I am going to try to be as specific as possible.
1. Each Gym Workout Is At Least 1 hour long
One of my biggest struggles when working out is staying consistent. Often, when I go to the gym, I only end up staying for about 20-30 minutes.
What will help me achieve this goal:
- Stretching before/after workout
- Completing everything and not giving up halfway through
- Snacks for before/after workout
2. Post on my Blog At Least Once A Week
One of my main goals is to develop this blog more throughout the year. A reasonable goal seems to be posting at least once a week.
I have a lot of things I’d love to write about. Out of these three goals, this one seems the most attainable.
3. Healthy Diet
Exercising is only half of the battle. Eating well is arguably much harder.
As someone who loves food, I have struggled in the past with the quantity and quality of the food I eat.
At college it is easy to eat crappy. Literally everywhere I turn there are free sweets and snacks.
My specific goal will be to eat out less (which will also save me money) and eat plenty of vegetables and fruit. Also, last semester I occasionally made protein shakes which I plan on doing more this year.
